Fiscal Services
Budget Information
The Centralia School District’s annual budget is an extensive document. It spells out in detail how much money the district expects to receive during the year and from what sources these funds will come. It also details how the funds will be spent by program and/or department.
The budget is adopted by the Board of Directors prior to the start of the fiscal year which runs from September 1 to August 31 of the following calendar year.
School district funds are used for a variety of purposes, all of which are related to instruction, operational support, or district management.

Special Levy Monies
Special levies are necessary to fund programs that are either unfunded or under-funded by the state. The citizens of the Centralia School District recognize that a comprehensive K-12 education program is required to provide all students the opportunity to reach their potential. They have expressed that support in the form of approving the local school levy.
Local levy dollars are used to provide funds for building based budgets, summer school, literacy programs, academic and athletic co-curricular activities, excess transportation costs, instructional and support staffing, outdoor education, technology support, vocational equipment replacement as well as programs for special needs and at-risk students.
We appreciate the support the district has had from our community.
